Echelon has entered into strategic Partnerships and Joint Venture collaborations with two global energy consultancies: RA-ESG PLC and Tropical Environmental Ltd. Each company focuses on distinct specialist areas within the Renewable Energy Sector.
RA-ESG is a global solar platform with 20 solar projects under management or in development, representing over 3GWs of capacity, at a CAPEX of ±$2.8b, which would equate to ± $600m per annum in energy revenue.
Tropical Environmental’s core competence lies in Environmental Protection, impact assessments, waste management, and waste-to-energy facilities.
Together, the three companies form an impressive, environmentally aware partnership, able to provide specialist consultancy and F-EPC* services to most sustainable energy projects around the globe.

James Jolly – Chairman and CEO
After leaving First National Bank SA – Madrid, Spain where he served as Director of their property division, he incorporated Echelon to serve an impressive stable of corporate clients, including Tier 1 OEM suppliers to JLR, a multi-use marina and waterfront development, and over 20 sustainable energy projects.
James brings lateral thinking corporate structure solutions to complex international trade agreements.
Tim Jonck – Chief Technical Officer
Tim is a highly qualified, multidisciplinary technical specialist with a career spanning military defence, engineering, and advanced data analytics. His early background includes serving as a Radar Systems Specialist with the SANDF and working as a broadcast engineer in high-criticality environments across multiple international regions. He later expanded into Building Services and Data Analytics Consulting, applying deep technical insight to complex infrastructure, energy, and operational challenges.
Dr. Steven Kane – Head of Trade
Steven qualified as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer before establishing Autoshield Limited in 1984, which became the largest after-market automotive glazing company in the UK.
Steven is a Member of the UK Trade Department (DBT), Head of GBI (Great Britain Investment Group), and Administration Head of European Union Trade Department (DG Trade).
Also, as a senior UK Diplomat, Steven’s time working in the international trade arena is invaluable to Echelon.
